Tree City USA and Growth Award Recognition
The City of Manchester is excited to announce it was recertified in 2022 as a Tree City USA community and achieved its first Growth Award as presented by the Arbor Day Foundation. The Growth Award recognizes communities for higher levels of tree care through increased commitment of resources to urban forestry management. The City shares the Arbor Day Foundation’s corporate mission “to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees”.

TRIM Grant Awarded from Missouri Department of Conservation
The City of Manchester has received and is completing the Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (TRIM) Grant Project this spring. Funding was provided to the City by the Missouri Department of Conservation to remove ash trees in City owned parks. An inventory and management plan was completed for the City parks last year through the Trim Grant Program. Thank you MDC!
