We are proud to announce that the 2018 Parade Grand Marshals are Hunter and Joyce Davis!
It is our privilege to honor Hunter and Joyce Davis as Manchester Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals. They have devoted years to serving people in our community. Joyce brings donated food several times a week to a processing center where it is distributed to the homeless, the Veteran’s Home in University City, and to the Loaves and Fishes organization that feeds 35-40 people daily. She volunteers at their church, the Medallion Sweetheart Club, and is in the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary for Post 208. Joyce retired from the Post Office after 27 years and she enjoys traveling and has been to countries all over the world.
Hunter is a Korean War Veteran and donates his time at the American Legion Post 208. He is dedicated to managing the Sunday golf games involving the Legion and VFW members, acquiring donations for the annual golf tournament, and has tended bar at the Legion for over 20 years.
In December they will celebrate their 65th Wedding Anniversary with the help of their 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Hunter and Joyce have lived in their home for 47 years, and have seen Manchester change from a small town to a thriving community, and are proud to have been a part of this. Thank you, Joyce & Hunter for your service to others.
