Send a letter describing why you believe your nominee deserves the honor or being 2007 "Citizen of the Year" to the Parks and Recreation Office at 359 Old Meramec Station Road. Nominees must reside within the City of Manchester and demonstrate a history of positive contributions to the community. City employees and members of the Homecoming Committee are not eligible. Citizens of the Year for 2006 were Larry and Mary Ann Miles.

Manchester Homecoming Parade
Everyone loves a parade! Get your school, group or business to sponsor a float, vehicle or musical ensemble (we love music!) for the Homecoming parade on September 8th. Groups line up at 8:00 am in the Parkway South High School south parking lot and the parade begins at 9:00 am. Plaques are awarded for Originality, Appearance and Relevance to Theme. Call the Parks and Recreation Office at 636-391-6326 x400 or Kari Pratt at 636-391-2901 for an application.

Arts & Crafts
The Arts and Crafts area is a popular focal point of the Homecoming celebration and one of the most well attended events in the area. Apply early for a booth to display your handmade or originally embellished wares on Saturday, September 8th & Sunday, September 9th. Contace Lil at 636-225-1885 or email lkatzenmeyer@aol.com to apply or get more information.

Kid's Corner
Kid's Corner provides free crafts and activities for kids 8 and under. There is also a Kid's Parade through the Main Stage from 3:00 - 3:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Parental supervision is required while in Kid's Corner.

Entertainment
Musical entertainment is a big draw for Homecoming. Billy Peek is set for Friday evening and Sundance & Brass will be returning for Saturday night. We are interested in local groups who perform original music and cover bands performing music appealing to a wide range of musical tastes. Bands interested in an afternoon performance spot can contact Kent Simons at 636-227-3062.

Old Trails Historical Society
The historic Baxter Log Cabin located in Paul A. Schroeder Park will be open during Manchester Homecoming on Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th from noon to 5:00 pm. For information regarding activities at the log cabin, contact Sue Simons at 636-227-3062.
