The 2018 spring bulk trash pickup will take place on your regular collection day during the week of April 23-27, 2018. Please note the following conditions regarding this collection service:
- There is a two item limit.
- Bulk trash includes any type of solid waste that cannot be placed into a 32 gallon trash can. No single bulk trash item can weigh or exceed more than 100 pounds or 16 cubic feet in volume.
- Bulk trash does not include major appliances, automobile parts or components, or any such item.
- Examples of common bulk trash items which can be picked up are:
Sofa/Couch Cabinet Table Desk
Mattress Sink Lamp Carpet*
Chair Vanity Bathtub
Toilet (please separate bowl and tank)
*Carpeting must be cut in four foot (4’) widths, rolled up no larger than eighteen inches (18”) in diameter, with a limit of two (2), to be collected under bulk trash pickup.

Appliances (small and large), electronics, and metals may be recycled at the Midwest Recycling Center drop off collection event held the 3rd Saturday of every odd-numbered month, 8 a.m. – 11 a.m., at the City’s Schroeder Park. The guidelines for this program are available on the City’s website.
