Occupancy Permit Information
COVID-19 UPDATES - OCCUPANCY INSPECTIONS
Single-Family Occupancy Inspections will be limited to exterior inspections until May 1, 2020. The associated fee will be $75.00 and the new occupant(s) will be expected to submit an application for an Occupancy Permit. An interior inspection will not be required until next change of owner/occupant. Inspector shall have discretion to determine if the condition of the exterior of the property warrants an inspection of the interior.
Additionally, in order to limit contact as much as possible, applications may be submitted electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org, by mail or by the City’s drop box and be paid by credit card over the phone, mailed check, check submitted via the City’s drop box or in person by appointment only.

When are inspections required?
A municipal inspection is required with any change of ownership or occupant. The Occupancy Permit must be obtained prior to occupancy.

Steps to your Occupancy Permit:
- Apply and pay for the Single Family Inspection.
During St. Louis County’s stay-at-home order you can submit the Single Family Exterior Inspection Application.
- Schedule a municipal inspection with City staff.
- After inspection is passed, new occupants will submit the Single Family Occupancy Permit Application to City Hall.
- Move in to Manchester!
